On Wednesday we went to London. We saw Big Ben and rode the London Eye. I thought the London Eye was really cool because we went really high in the sky. On Thursday morning, we went to Buckingham Palace. At Buckingham Palace we saw guards being changed in their boxes. Buckingham Palace looks like the White House. Then we went to the British Museum and saw a dead person. He crawled up in a ball and buried himself in sand so he wouldn't disintegrate. After that we saw the Rosetta Stone. Before they fond the Rosetta Stone, nobody know what pole were wriing, like heiroglyohics for instance. We also saw the Easter Island statue from the movie Night at th Museum. After that, we went to the Pancake House to eat. Everything they have is pancakes that are like crepes. I had a mozzarella and bacon one. The next day, we went to the Tower of London. At the Tower of London we saw the armour for the horses and knights. We saw carvings in the wall where the prisoners were kept. The prisoners carbed theiur bames on the alls. We saw the bloody tower. The uncle locked his two nephews in the tower so they cluldn;t be king. Two hunfred yers later they found their bones. After the Tower of London, we went to the Victoria and Albert museum and had lunch there. Then we went to St. Martins-in-the-Field to do brass rubbings. i did a dragon rubbing. Iliked mine a lot. I felt so ptoud. We also got a do at home kit for brass rubbings. I got a lion for home. On Saturday, we went to the Tate Modern museum and saw paintings by "Jack the Dripper" (Jackson Pollock) and Picasso. One picture was just a cut in a piece of paper. In another room we saw flatternded silverwear hangikng by strings at the same height. In anogther rom we saw a soap kabob. In anlother room, there was a big crack in the floor but that was art. When we left, I blew away because the wind was like a tornadoe swirling about. When I was walkikng with my family I rthiught it would be so copol iof I could fly so I jumped the same way the wind was going and I got blown into the bushes. We ran to a taxi and went to the Pancake House again. Next we went to the Hamely's Toy store. It was insane. It was a boom mash crack. I was likwe so excitedx there was a huge Bionicle and it was so crazy like Baallalalalalalalalal. Thwn we went home. I thought London was great.

Vienna
A couple days ago we went on a 4 hour train ride to Vienna. Vienna is in Austria. We saw the Vienna Boys Choir and a horse show. I thought the boys choir was a girls choir because they all had high voices. I thought there were 3 girls. At our hotel we got stuck in an elevator. The elevator was pretty cool even though we got stuck in it. At the horse show they were just jumping and running. I didn't like it but my sisters loved it. (All girls love horses) Bye! - Your friend C.j

Prague
On Friday we went on a train ride to Prague for six hours. After the train ride we met our old au pair micheala. She showed us around and asked the person for information and subway tickets. We had this nice hotel room which had two floors. I liked to take the elevator, not the steps. I also like to slide on the ground on the second and first floor in my PJ pants. At the breakfast buffet you can get bacon, but it looked like ham. We were back in our hotel room then we heard crackling noises, first I thought it was someone scrunching a plastic bag, but then I looked outside. It was hailing and we saw lightening and we heard thunder. At first I felt a little scared, but then I felt it was fun. When the hail stopped we went up to the castle and cathedral and saw some gargoyles shooting water out their mouths and onto me. Then we went to a monastery, a library, another church and a mirror maze. The mirror maze was fun. We went back to the hotel and my best Dad ever bought me and Gillian ice cream. On Sunday we met Michaela again. We had fun. We went to another castle and we were walking up a huge hill and I got tired. We saw the privy which is a medieval toilet. It was just built to hang up to the wall and there was just a hole on the bottom. So what ever they did it would just fall through the hole and hit the ground. Bye, your friend CJ.

Regensburg
We went to Regensburg on Saturday. My Dad's friend came too. We saw lots of churches and some had people buried under the floor. We saw a bridge that was held up by pontoons. Pontoons are triangular prisms. They float above the water and there were no pillars under it so technically the bridge is floating. For lunch I had a schnitzel. A schnitzel is fried pork really flat but it tastes a lot like steak. It was juicy. On Sunday, we went to two beer gardens and afterwards we played in the English Garden. There were tons and tons of people there Sunday because it was so hot. I played soccer with my Dad. I was the goalie. I got so dirty. My shirt was dirty, my pants were dirty, my shoes were dirty - it was even under my shirt on my skin. There was a big slide of mud. I jumped on the slope of mud and I was practically surfing down but with no surf board. On our way home, people were laughing at us. Before they saw us they were talking but when they passed by us, they stopped talking immediately and moved to the other side of the sidewalk and then they started cracking up when they passed us. At the end of the day, it got a little cold. After that, when we got back to our apartment, I had to get a bath and leave my shoes outside because they were so, so dirty. Here is a picture of me and mud. Your friend, CJ

Finding a Lake
Yesterday went to see a lake. We also went to a beer garden and saw a playground. I played on it most of the time that we were there. At the beer garden I tried fried pork. After that we got ice cream and went to a rock beach. I found a knife looking rock. I brought it home. We found our train and went to church. Everyone there spoke english. We also went to a Hard Rock Cafe. It is a place where they show rock stars on t.v. It was dark and rockish. You can buy pins. I will be back home in 6 weeks. Your friend C.J. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Museum
Once we went to a museum. We saw all kinds of things like jet planes. We also saw technology and a lightening show. They put a person in a cage that was made of metal and see through and then they shot electric at the cage and the person in the cage did not get hurt. We also saw electricity go through glass but I really think it went around the glass. We also these two towers and they shot electricity across. We also went mining. It scared me a little because we were deep underground. We saw a door but it lead to outside. I was getting the chills because we were deep and following arrows. I thought someone was following me. It was dark and cold. After that we smelled a haunting aroma (that's from the movie Kicking and Screaming). Then we found a restaurant where they had delicious sausages. They had a slide there and when one person went down and touched another person they got shocked. When Gillian and Devon did it I heard the shock from 12 feet away. After that we found a chemistry room and an instrument room. In the chemistry room there were lots of buttons you could push. Wg you pushed it, an experiment would happen. It even showed how to make coke. Before we left we went to the gift shop. It was great. I got a dog necklace made out of stone and made everybody in my family touch it so now it's like a good luck charm. Your friend - CJ

Nurnberg
One day I went on a train ride to Nurnberg. Nurnberg is known for gingerbread and sausages. We also went to a toy museum that had a "Kid's on top room" where you could play around. I found a control station that worked all the lights and cool effects. I touched a gold ring, that made me get good luck. If you touched it 1 time good luck, 2 times bad luck, 3 times good luck and it goes on and on and on. We also went into a church where my dad's friend dared me go up the priest's stand. I said no. There was also a castle with 3 sides that I thought was cool. The buildings like the church got blown up from the war, but they rebuilt it so that it looks even better. Bye I miss you all. Your friend CJ!

Paris
Over the weekend we went to Paris. We went to a museum called The Rodin and saw a sculpture of The Thinker. The Thinker looked really bored and it looked like he was thinking of course. Then we went to Montmarte which is a really big hill. On the top we saw a church. We also saw the Eiffel Tower. We stared at it for a while. It started to blink like crazy. Next we went to the Louvre Museum. It had lots of famous paintings like Mona Lisa. We also saw Winged Victory and Venus de Milo. Winged Victory is a big sculpture. Venus de Milo was the goddess of love. She was pretty cool. We walked along the Seine River. Then we went into a church called Saint Chapelle. Inside there was lots of stained glass. The stained glass was cool because it had a bunch of patterns like an Egg Shape. Notre Dame was next on the trip. Notre Dame was another church with a lot of Gargoyles. The next we went up to the Eiffel tower. We had to take like 4 elevators. From the top of the Eiffel tower we saw where Napoleon was buried. Napoleon was a famous French person. He was so famous he was buried in such a big place and so were his brothers. Everytime I think about Paris I think of the Eiffel tower. Someday I want to go back when it's Summer or Spring. 2 Castles
Last weekend I saw 2 castles (Neuschwanstein, and Hohesschwangau). We had to ride a carridge to get up to the castles. I saw a gold room with crystal bowls and gold holders. On the way down we had to switch horses because both of the horses got tired so they put the horses into the back of the moving van. The new horse had brown fur and a darker tail. When the ride was finished tons, and tons, and tons of people were in line for the carriage.
The day before that we went to a mountain. We were on a cable car it wiggled from side to side. When we were at the top of the mountain I yelled " SNOW". Devon slipped on a hill and she slid down. I couldn't get up. When she was done she said "that was awsoeme. you have to try that". Then I slid down. "That was sweet" I yelled.

Olympia Tower
Yesterday I saw the Olympia Tower - it was huge. I also ran all the way up a big hill that was made out of junk from World War 2 but now it is all covered with dirt and grass and then I dashed down. My Dad said "You were going about 35 miles per hour"! While I was running, in my head I was saying "My feet can't run this fast." Then I started to tumble and tumble. Then I got up and said I was okay but after my throat started to hurt - it felt sore - I think I swallowed some dirt. Then it started to feel better. My mom said "there's a trampoline over there - do you want to go on"? Then Gillian, Devon and I said Yeah let's go and we went. The trampoline was so bouncy I could do a million butt bounces without stopping. Then the person that ran the trampoline said it was time to get off so we did. Then we started to walk home.

Salzburg
Yesterday we went to Salzburg in Austria. It is an hour and half away. On the train, we saw some snow covered mountains called the Alps. The seats on the train were like the seats in Harry Potter. We climbed up large steps to get to the highest tower of a castle but to get up to that height we had to take something called a funicular which is like a little roller coaster that goes up and down a steep slope. It's also like a train. Also in Salzburg we went on a tour in a carriage pulled by two horses named Mona and Lisa. Together they make "Mona Lisa." In school, we are learning about Mozart and we got to see where he was born.We also got some Mozart candy. It was delicious.

TierPark (the Zoo)
We walked through the wet and damp rocks to look at some animals. We saw some monkeys screeching their heads of. We saw some lions in a tropical atrium (a boy and a girl). The girl was roaring because a lady was taking a photo of the lions. An then a Puma roared a little quieter..or maybe she just gagged a little. We also saw some jumping seals. They got us wet! Then we went to the playground in the Zoo. There was a spinning rock and a spinning sideways wheel. After that, Mom said "It' time to go!" Okay I said. So I got off the spinning wheel and we walked home. I love the Zoo.

Food
Hi Everyone!
Yesterday I had a chocolate bagel. Imagine that! It was sort of a brown color. There was chocolate chips in there, Of course! And guess what I got some real crystals over here. For my sisters birthday (Feb.) we are going to Paris (the city of lights). In Mom school I am playing a game called Math Blaster (on the computer). In Math Blaster you are supposed to beat each level and get every answer correct. We are also learning a lot about Mozart and his requiem. Was he killed? Hmmmm..We'll never know.
