Salzburg

Yesterday we went to Salzburg in Austria. It is an hour and half away. On the train, we saw some snow covered mountains called the Alps. The seats on the train were like the seats in Harry Potter. We climbed up large steps to get to the highest tower of a castle but to get up to that height we had to take something called a funicular which is like a little roller coaster that goes up and down a steep slope. It's also like a train. Also in Salzburg we went on a tour in a carriage pulled by two horses named Mona and Lisa. Together they make "Mona Lisa." In school, we are learning about Mozart and we got to see where he was born.We also got some Mozart candy. It was delicious.

Great story of your trip to the castle. I really enjoyed it. Grandma Grace will like it too. She will like the part about the funicular, and about seeing th e alps, she loves mountains...More later, love you lots.
