Regensburg

We went to Regensburg on Saturday. My Dad's friend came too. We saw lots of churches and some had people buried under the floor. We saw a bridge that was held up by pontoons. Pontoons are triangular prisms. They float above the water and there were no pillars under it so technically the bridge is floating. For lunch I had a schnitzel. A schnitzel is fried pork really flat but it tastes a lot like steak. It was juicy.  On Sunday, we went to two beer gardens and afterwards we played in the English Garden. There were tons and tons of people there Sunday because it was so hot. I played soccer with my Dad. I was the goalie. I got so dirty. My shirt was dirty, my pants were dirty, my shoes were dirty - it was even under my shirt on my skin. There was a big slide of mud. I jumped on the slope of mud and I was practically surfing down but with no surf board. On our way home, people were laughing at us. Before they saw us they were talking but when they passed by us, they stopped talking immediately and moved to the other side of the sidewalk and then they started cracking up when they passed us.  At the end of the day, it got a little cold. After that, when we got back to our apartment, I had to get a bath and leave my shoes outside because they were so, so dirty. Here is a picture of me and mud. Your friend, CJ

Finding a Lake

Yesterday went to see a lake. We also went to a beer garden and saw a playground. I played on it most of the time that we were there. At the beer garden I tried fried pork. After that we got ice cream and went to a rock beach.  I found a knife looking rock. I brought it home. We found our train and went to church. Everyone there spoke english. We also went to a Hard Rock Cafe. It is a place where they show rock stars on t.v. It was dark and rockish. You can buy pins. I will be back home in 6 weeks. Your friend C.J. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Museum

Once we went to a museum. We saw all kinds of things like jet planes. We also saw technology and a lightening show. They put a person in a cage that was made of metal and see through and then they shot electric at the cage and the person in the cage did not get hurt. We also saw electricity go through glass but I really think it went around the glass. We also these two towers and they shot electricity across. We also went mining. It scared me a little because we were deep underground. We saw a door but it lead to outside. I was getting the chills because we were deep and following arrows. I thought someone was following me. It was dark and cold. After that we smelled a haunting aroma (that's from the movie Kicking and Screaming). Then we found a restaurant where they had delicious sausages. They had a slide there and when one person went down and touched another person they got shocked. When Gillian and Devon did it I heard the shock from 12 feet away. After that we found a chemistry room and an instrument room. In the chemistry room there were lots of buttons you could push. Wg you pushed it, an experiment would happen. It even showed how to make coke. Before we left we went to the gift shop. It was great. I got a dog necklace made out of stone and made everybody in my family touch it so now it's like a good luck charm.  Your friend  - CJ

Nurnberg

One day I went on a train ride to Nurnberg. Nurnberg is known for gingerbread and sausages. We also went to a toy museum that had a "Kid's on top room" where you could play around. I found a control station that worked all the lights and cool effects.  I touched a gold ring, that made me get good luck. If you touched it 1 time good luck, 2 times bad luck, 3 times good luck and it goes on and on and on. We also went into a church where my dad's friend dared me go up the priest's stand. I said no. There was also a castle with 3 sides that I thought was cool. The buildings like the church got blown up from the war, but they rebuilt it so that it looks even better. Bye I miss you all. Your friend CJ!

Paris

Over the weekend we went to Paris. We went to a museum called The Rodin and saw a sculpture of The Thinker. The Thinker looked really bored and it looked like he was thinking of course. Then we went to Montmarte which is a really big hill. On the top we saw a church. We also saw the Eiffel Tower. We stared at it for a while. It started to blink like crazy. Next we went to the Louvre Museum. It had lots of famous paintings like Mona Lisa. We also saw Winged Victory and Venus de Milo. Winged Victory is a big sculpture. Venus de Milo was the goddess of love. She was pretty cool. We walked along the Seine River. Then we went into a church called Saint Chapelle. Inside there was lots of stained glass. The stained glass was cool because it had a bunch of patterns like an Egg Shape. Notre Dame was next on the trip. Notre Dame was another church with a lot of Gargoyles. The next we went up to the Eiffel tower. We had to take like 4 elevators. From the top of the Eiffel tower we saw where Napoleon was buried. Napoleon was a famous French person. He was so famous he was buried in such a big place and so were his brothers. Everytime I think about Paris I think of the Eiffel tower. Someday I want to go back when it's Summer or Spring.  Please see my video on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml09aN-66sg
